The International Conference on NTDs Research in Africa
Rwanda NGOs Forum on AIDS and Health Promotion is thrilled to be part of the International Conference on #NTDs Research in Africa, taking place in Kigali from January 20 to 22, 2025.
This pivotal gathering unites key stakeholders committed to eliminating neglected tropical diseases (#NTDs) in the region through operational and focused research.
The conference sets two ambitious objectives:
To inform the NTD community about new research results and
To prioritize remaining operational research questions, the list of which will be shared with donors for funding consideration.As a dedicated stakeholder in interrupting the transmission of schistosomiasis (#SCH) and soil-transmitted helminths (#STH) in Rwanda, Rwanda NGOs Forum on AIDS and Health Promotion
is energized by the opportunity to exchange ideas with leading #NTDs researchers and experts from across Africa and beyond.
Day 1 was nothing short of inspiring. Discussions spotlighted:
Integrating health systems to combat schistosomiasis and other #NTDs. Innovative perspectives and emerging solutions to accelerate progress. Achievements in reducing #STH and #SCH prevalence, highlighting strides toward eliminating these diseases as public health threats.
